Outage Center
We're here for you 24/7
Welcome to Grand Valley Power's Outage Center
We know it's frustrating when your power is out. We do our best to make sure outages do not occur, but when they do, you can stay up-to-date on service restoration with the tools below.
Check this page for updates or check our Facebook page and Twitter feed. Because our Facebook and Twitter pages are not tied to our outage reporting system and are not monitored 24/7, please report all outages through GVP's SmartHub app or call 970-242-0040.
Please note that our email and social media channels are not monitored 24/7. While even one of our members without power is a problem we take very seriously, in most cases we try to post only information about outages that are anticipated to be longer than one hour and affect 100 members or more. GVP has a 24-hour, 365 day-a-year dispatch center so if you should lose power, be assured we are working as quickly as possible to get your lights back on.

Electrical Medical Equipment
GVP maintains a list of members who have medical equipment that requires electricity. GVP will give members with special medical needs priority in the restoration of their electric service whenever it is reasonably possible to do so. If someone in your home is dependent on life-support equipment, don’t wait until an outage to notify us, call us now to inform us of any medical condition at (970) 242-0040. Alternatively, you can submit this information online here. It is important to remember that extensive damage to our electric system could take numerous hours, or even days, to completely repair. Members who must have electricity should be prepared with an emergency backup plan. The plan could include arrangements to move to an alternative location, use of a portable generator and/or installation of a battery backup on important electrical devices. |
