We are a mission-driven organization with 43 employees supporting over 18,000 members with safe, reliable and affordable electricity to power their lives.
Working for Grand Valley Power
Grand Valley Power is a member-owned distribution cooperative that serves the Grand Valley as well as Glade Park, Whitewater, Gateway, Collbran, and Mesa. Since 1936, our mission has been to provide reliable service at an affordable price.
The population in the communities we serve has exploded since then and we continue to grow as the number of members we serve increases.
Grand Valley Power is headquartered in Grand Junction, just a short drive from the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, and Powderhorn Ski Area. Grand Valley Power employs 43 people who are dedicated to providing outstanding service to our members.
Our year-round dry, mild climate is perfect for outdoor recreation, and with the Grand Valley as your base camp, you are under 2 hours from some of the most stunning parks, forests, plateaus, lakes, and rivers in the west. We’ve got 10,000 miles of scenic trails and more than 1,000 acres of lush vineyards. But we’ve also got a fast-growing business community thanks to our low business costs, robust incentive programs, talented workforce and rich natural resources.
Voted one of the safest places in America, with big-city amenities and a small town atmosphere, Colorado’s Grand Valley is a grand place to live, work, and play.
We offer competitive salaries and an extensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, long-term disability and life insurance. Grand Valley Power offers a company-paid retirement plan, as well as a 401(k) plan with a matching contribution. After meeting eligibility requirements, GVP provides paid vacation, personal leave and funeral leave, as well as jury duty. What’s more, we recognize nine holidays — including your birthday.
Equal opportunity employer
Grand Valley Power does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability or any other status protected by law or regulation. All qualified candidates are given equal opportunity and selection decisions are based on job-related factors.
