Apply by March 1
The Grand Valley Power Scholarship Program seeks to promote the educational pursuits of students in Grand Valley Power's service territory and expand the educational opportunities available to them. Since the program's inception, the cooperative has dedicated more than $290,000 in unclaimed patronage capital to scholarship awards. The program aligns with one of our seven core co-op principles:
Concern for Community: Cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies supported by the membership.
$22,000 in scholarships awarded each year: Students living in households served by Grand Valley Power can apply by March 1 for one of 10 scholarships awarded each spring for the following fall semester. Applications for the CMU Tech Lineworker Scholarship are available in the spring and due June 1. Scholarship recipients are recognized each year at their school's senior awards event (if applicable) and the Grand Valley Power Annual Membership Meeting in August. Please review the scholarship requirements!
