Welcome to Your Hometown Co-op
As CEO of Grand Valley Power, and on behalf of our employees, I welcome you to our family of over 18,000 members. When you receive electricity from the cooperative, you become a memberof the business. We are led by members like you and that’s an important part of our hometown makeup. It helps us focus on the things that are important to you: safety, service, trust and value. Check out our website, and if you have any questions, contact one of our Member Services representatives at 970-242-0040. We look forward to being your hometown energy provider!

About Us
As a community-focused electric cooperative, we're led by the communities we serve. We work 24/7 to provide over 18,000 members and businesses the most reliable, affordable and safe electric service possible. Learn more about how GVP organized the first electric co-op in Colorado.
Seven Cooperative Principles
Cooperatives have been around since the 1800s! They are nothing new, but the principles might not be as widely known. Cooperatives are not just electric either. They cross many industries including agriculture, finance, healthcare and grocery. Ever hear of Land O' Lakes, REI or Ace Hardware? Learn more about each of the cooperative principles we live by.
Member Benefits
Being a member has its rewards! You will receive our monthly Colorado Country Life magazine, which highlights co-op news, Colorado events, contests, recipes and more. In addition, members are eligible for CashBack Credits and scholarships or youth program opportunities. Grand Valley Power also hosts an Annual Meeting every year where our members gather to hear the state of the cooperative, meet with our staff and other members and enjoy dinner with giveaways. We strive to provide GVP members with energy your way, with programs like HELP, renewable energy choices and DIY energy-efficiency videos for energy and cost savings for every season. We also provide discounts outside of utilities with our Co-op Connections card - you can save on hotels, travel, entertainment and more! Lastly, we have great concern for our communities and you'll often see us participating in many events, so make sure to check out our latest hometown partnership events and activities.
Get to know your Board of Directors
In cooperative nature, your Board of Directors is elected by members and guides the business and affairs of the cooperative. Being a member that elects to vote is one of our core seven cooperative principles.
Bylaws and Rights
As a member, know your rights. Cooperatives are democratically member controlled, and as such, we operate under our bylaws and regulations. Review these documents to know more about how we operate.
