The Mesa County, Colorado, Toys for Tots program is in its sixth year. The Toys for Tots program works with Marine Corps League Detachment 624 to support local families by providing Christmas gifts to local children in need. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. The primary goal through giving a new toy at Christmas, is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
Families in Mesa County that are interested in receiving toys for children 14 and under, may register online grand-junction-co.toysfortots.org. Toy distribution will take place on December 15, 2017 for those with last names beginning with M-Z and December 16, 2017 for those with last names beginning with A-L. We will be giving out toys from 8am-6pm both days.
