GRAND VALLEY POWER ANNOUNCES
BOARD OF DIRECTOR ELECTION RESULTS
GRAND JUNCTION, CO.– (August 9, 2019) --- Grand Valley Power, an electric cooperative serving over 18,000 consumers in Mesa County and surrounding areas, announced today that the members have elected three directors to the Board - Rod Martinez of Grand Junction, Colorado; Sylvia Spangler of Collbran, Colorado and Carolyn Sandeen-Hall of Grand Junction, Colorado. Martinez, Spangler and Sandeen-Hall all ran as incumbents. The swearing in will be conducted at the August 21st monthly board meeting. Each will serve a three-year term and join six other board of directors this August.
Here are the results of the ballot count for the 2019 Board of Director’s election as tallied by Chadwick, Steinkirchner, Davis & Co., P.C.:
Rod Martinez 1,224 votes
Carolyn Sandeen-Hall 1,118 votes
Sylvia Spangler 1,088 votes
Nina Anderson 1,078 votes
The returned mail ballots were held in custody and then counted by the local CPA firm Chadwick, Steinkirchner, Davis & Co. Members who had not voted by mail and attended the annual meeting on August 8th, voted at the meeting. A total of 1,680 ballots were counted.
