Recently, all members received a ballot for GVP’s 2022 Board of Directors Election. We would like to clarify who may cast a vote for joint member accounts.
If a GVP account is a joint membership, either individual listed on the account may vote on behalf of your joint membership. The 2022 ballot envelope was addressed and mailed to only the primary account holder. The instructions on the envelope say that the “Signature must correspond to name on the label below” and require the signee to “certify that I am the member named on the label and that I personally completed the enclosed ballot and signed my name on the date indicated.” Please know that if either joint account holder signs and returns a completed ballot envelope, the vote will be counted. GVP has mailed a letter to all of its joint members letting them know that either member can sign the ballot envelope in the 2022 election.
GVP will ensure that its Election Supervisory Committee knows all members' account status and that either of the account contacts are eligible to sign the ballot envelope.
