Welcome to the Grand Valley Power web site. Hopefully you will find it an effective source of information about us, and a great way to get the most out of your relationship with the cooperative. You’ll discover industry news and updates, outage information, and several tools to help you manage your electric account. I encourage you to take a little time and explore the site.
Grand Valley Power is the oldest rural electric cooperative in the state of Colorado. It is locally-owned by its members, and governed by a board of directors elected by the folks that it serves. This board meets monthly to review the performance of the business and provide direction to the company’s management team. Every August, the cooperative holds an Annual Membership Meeting to elect the members of the Board of Directors, and conduct business that requires membership approval.
One of the board’s most important function is to hire the Cheif Executive Officer. As Chief Executive Officer, I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of the cooperative consistent with Board directives. Our mission is Empowering Lives with Hometown Service.
My staff and I are here to serve the cooperative members. Please help us do our job as effectively as possible. If you have a suggestion that will improve our service, please let me know about it. Use the contact information displayed on this page to reach me by telephone, mail, or email. Or feel free to stop by our office at 845 22 Road in Grand Junction
On behalf of all the members of the Board of Directors, Management, Staff and Employees of Grand Valley Power, welcome!
Thomas M. Walch
Chief Executive Officer
